On each and every day, the Abakash Besha Of Sri Lord Jagannath is made soon after completion of Mangala Arati & Mailam. The schedule time of this Besha is between 6 AM to 6:30 AM . The morning brushing of teeth and procedure of bathing of deities is known as Abakash. It is said that this abakash has been introduced by Acharya Sankar. It is anticipated that in the 9th century B.C during the reign of king Jajati this besha has been introduced.

Abakasha Besha On Nandighosh Chariot

In this Besha, the Puspalaka is offering three Pata to each Deities ie Lord Jagannath, Balavadra and Subhadra. One Cloth also offered to Lord Sudarshan . In addition to that the napkins are also offered to Jagannath & Balavadra as ‘Utariya’ during this Besha.
