Sai Baba of Shirdi (1838 – 15 October 1918; Resided in Shirdi), also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, 
was a spiritual master who was and is regarded by his devotees as a saint, fakir, avatar (an incarnation of God), or sadguru, according to their individual proclivities and beliefs. He was revered by both his Muslim and Hindu devotees, and during, as well as after, his life on earth it remained uncertain if he was a Muslim or Hindu himself.
Tolerating the pleasures and pain of life the true devotees continue to do their best for the cause of the Master.
The worthy devotees conquers their weakness of mind to depend on miracle and stand out on their own in the world as great personalities of faith.

Baba can always give a direct solutions to all the problems but His method has been to lead the devotee through a self-finding and analytical mental process .
The Sadgurus do not believe in keeping their disciples dependent on them for all times to come with a view to get continued personal service from them.
The Sadgurus desire to evolve the disciples to the state of perfect human being (Satpurush), with perfect noble qualities so that these evolved souls can further carry on task as per the divine Plan.
The Sadgurus not only give emancipation to the human souls under their care but the also create a few spritials workers from among the evolved devotees to assist them in thir unversal and subtle activities.
If we follow the prescriptions of Baba, as contained in Shri Sai Satcharita, our thought process can go though a qualitative change and we can have a clear picture of the world around and our reliance in the vast universe.
When reading Shri Sai Satcharita or other literature on Baba, our thought should always be focused on the aspect of conscious mental evolution that Baba repeatedly taught and exemplified through his own conduct.
Man learns through experience, and the spiritual path is full of different kinds of experiences. He will encounter many difficulties and obstacles, and they are the very experiences he needs to encourage and complete the cleansing process.
Love one another and help others to rise to the higher levels, simply by pouring out love. Love is infectious and the greatest healing energy.
