Sand Artist Sudarsan met Prime Minister

NALCO’s Brand Ambassador and renowned sand Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik met the Prime minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh on Friday at New Delhi for winning ‘People’s Choice’ gold medal at the 3rd World Sand Sculpture Championship, held in Moscow recently. The Prime minister congratulated Mr. Pattnaik for his achievements. He showed his winning medal and trophy to the Prime Minister and also presented a photograph of his sculpture. He also congratulated Mr. Pattnaik for his joining NALCO as its Brand Ambassador. Pattnaik said, this is a great honor for me to meet the Prime Minister and show my award to him.

Earlier Pattnaik was congratulated by President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil & Union Cabinet Minister for Culture and Urban Development, Kumari Selja, in Delhi, after winning the above prestigious award. Pattnaik is the first Indian sand artist who has achieved more than 20 International awards, participating in 45 international championships all over the world. He is also running a sand art school in Puri, Orissa.
