On the eve of world earth day on April 22nd, International reputed Sand animator Sri Manas Kumar Sahoo release a video of a duration 3miniute at Puri ,the distance of 65k.m from Bhubaneswar, capital of Odshia. The original idea of world earth was originally propagated by Senator Gaylord Nelson and was initially observed in 1978. Today, more than half of the world’s population lives in cities. Earth Day Network lunched the Green Cities campaign to help cities around the world become more sustainable.

Sand animation Video World Earth Day 2014 on the theme “Green Cities”
Focused on three key elements – buildings, energy, and transportation – the campaign aims to help cities accelerate their transition to a cleaner, healthier, and more economically valuable future. Earth Day aims to inspire awareness of and appreciation for earth’s environment. Typical ways of observing Earth Day include planting trees, picking up roadside trash, conducting various programs.
The artist is equally moved by the rapid deforestation which affects seriously the humanity due to world worming and imbalance of eco environment. In this video he has shown our birds and animals live happily and move freely in forest and hills and mountain. But rise in population for their own need their indulging in deforestation with affects environment badly if we adopt forestation by planting trees, many calamities like flood, drought, deforestation and soil erosion can be checked. The artist aspect that his labours on this subject carry some value and the people applied this concept in their life.
