Preservation, Promotion & Dissemination of Traditional Folk Dance & Music

To develop our country’s rich and diversified tribal and indigenous art and culture “SUDHA” a state level Cultural organisation organised Traditional Folk Dance Performance–cum–demonstration–cum-Workshop and staged Traditional & Folk Dance & Music Performance-cum–demonstration on Preservation, Promotion and Dissemination of Traditional Folk Dance in many schools, open places and theatre or rangamancha in Odisha. At Annapurna Theatre, Grand Road, Puri the eminent artists of “SUDHA” perform on how Dissemination of Awareness of the Richness of Tribal Culture and life through these Traditional Folk Dance and Music. This Programme on Traditional Folk Dance and music will raising the awareness on the plurality and uniqueness of tribal/folk art and culture, bridge schism between our formal educational process. This Folk Dance also attract the attention viewers towards its rich varied and colourful forms of folk. By this Traditional Folk Dance Performance–cum–demonstration viewers, students and the teachers are understand the spirit of rural India and also go through the folk arts of the country which have grown over the centuries and are the intimate part of the life and culture of the rural population. SUDHA’s Folk Arts in the form of songs, dance and dramas have nourished a rich tradition among the viewers, students and teachers. Eminent artists Subhashree Jayasingh, Mirnalin Das, Manasweni Ghatuary, Annapurna Pratihari, Itishree Jenamani, Prativa Das, Priyanka Priyadarshani Das, Mita Barik, Ronali Giri, Somyarani Behera were performing in these programmes. SUDHA’s Chairman Sri Sanjaya Kumara Mishra is arrange the programmes on behalf of “SUDHA”. This Traditional Folk Dance Performance –cum–demonstration should also teach about maintaining traditions and upholding the value of community life. This programme should increases community feeling and unity among general people, youth, students, teachers, teachers educators, and played a very powerful role in preaching the folk culture by educating the students, teachers and the youth at large.
