ସାଧବ ତାଙ୍କ ଝିଅକୁ ବହୁ ଧନରତ୍ନ ଜଉତୁକ ଆକାରରେ ଦେଲେ । ଉକ୍ତ ଜଉତୁକ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ସବୁ ଶଗଡ ମାନଙ୍କରେ ବୁହାଯାଇ ରାଜନବରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲା | ରାଜମହଲ ଠାରୁ କିଛି ଦୁ୍ରରେ ସାଧବର ଝିଅ ଦେଖିଲେ ଯେ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗରେ ଅସ୍ତ ହୋଇ ମା କୋଳକୁ ଯାଉଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଦେଖି ସାଧବ ଝିଅ ବିଚାର କଲା ମୋ ବାପା ମୋତେ ବହୁତ ଭାର ଜଉତକ ଆକାରରେ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ଯଦି ସଂଧ୍ୟ୍ୟା ହୋଇଯାଏ ତେବେ ରାଜଧାନିର ଲୋକେ ଉକ୍ତ ଭାର ଦେଖିପାରିବେ ନାହିଂ । ଏଣୁ ସେ ଅତି ଭକ୍ତି ଭାବରେ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଦେବତାଙ୍କୁ ଦୟାକରି କିଛି ସମାୟ ପରେ ଅସ୍ତ ହେବା ପାଇଂ ବିନତି କଲା । ଏହି ସମୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନେ ରାଜମହଲରେ ପହଂଚି ଯିବେ | ସାଧବ ଝିଅ ଭକ୍ତିରେ ବିଭୋର ହୋଇ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟଦେବ ଧିରଗତିରେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲେ । ସେଥିପାଇଂ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଅସ୍ତ ହେବାରେ ବିଳମ୍ବ ହେଲା ।
ପୁଷ ରବିବାର କଥା
ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କ ମାତା ପୁତ୍ରର ଫେରିବା ବାଟକୁ ଅନାଇ ଭାବିଲେ କିମ୍ପାଇ ପେଂରିବାରେ ଡେରି ହେଉଛି | ଇତ୍ୟବସରେ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟ ମାତାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ପହଂଚିଲେ | ମାତା ତାଙ୍କୁ କୋଳରେ ବସାଇ କିମ୍ପାଇ ଡେରି ହେଲା ପଚାରିଲେ | ସେ ଆହୁରି କହିଲେ ଯେଉଂ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ତୋର ଆସିବା ବାଟରେ ବାଧା ଉପଯାଇଲା ସେ କୁଷ୍ଠ ରୋଗରେ ପିଡିତ ହେବାର ଅଭିଶାପ ଦେଲେ । ଏହାଶୁଣି ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟଦେବ କହିଲେ ସାଧବ ଝିଅର ସୁନ୍ଦରତା ଓ ତାହାର ବେଶଭୁଶା ଓ ଅଳଙ୍କାରକୁ ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖୁ ଡେରି ହେଲା । ଏଥିରେ କାହାର ଦୋଷ ନାହିଂ । ଏଣୁ ମାତାଙ୍କ ରୋଗ ମୁକ୍ତିରେ ଉପାୟ ପାଇଂ ପ୍ରାଥନା କଲେ । ମା କହିଲେ ସେ ପୂଷମାସରେ ଭକ୍ତି ସହକାରେ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟପୁଜା କରି ପୁଂଲପଂଳ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଅର୍ପଣ କରିବ ସେ ମୋ ଅଭିଶାପରୁ ମୁକ୍ତି ପାଇ ମନୋବାଂଛିତ ପଂଳ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତି କରିବ । କିଛି ଦିନ ପାରେ ସାଧବ ଝିଅ କୁଷ୍ଠ ରୋଗରେ ପିଡିତ ହେଲେ । ଗୁରୁବ୍ରାହ୍ମାଣ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଅନୁସାରେ ରାଜା ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟପୁଜା ଅାୟୋଜନ କଲେ । ଶାଶୁ ଶଶୁରରଙ୍କ କଥାମାନି ସାଧବ ଝିଅ ନିଷ୍ଠାର ସହିତ ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟପୁଜା କଲେ ଓ ରୋଗ ମୁକ୍ତ ହେଲେ ଓ ପୁତ୍ରଧନ ପତିକୁ ନେଇ ସୁଖରେ ଘରସଂସାର କଲେ | ଏହାହିଂ ପୁଷମାସର ସୁର୍ଯ୍ୟପୁଜାର ମାହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଅଟେ ।
Month Pusha ). Once upon a time a Marhatta ( Moharastrian ) King namely Sugati was ruling over the kingdom. He was very pious king. His wife was Susila. She was very devotee towards her husband. The king was a noble ruler. He shows respect towards God and Brahmins. The king blessed with a son namely Ratnkar. He was just like his father in all respect. He attended his marriageable age and spend his time with his friends. Once he saw one friend is proceeding with his bride after marriage. He wants to get marry and intimate the matter to his parents.
The king asked a Brahmin to arrange a good princes matching to his son. the Brahmin selected a daughter of a renowned business man ( Sadhab ) in Karnatak. The Brahmins approached the businessman and asked him to arrange marriage of his daughter with Ratnakar, the prince. The Sadhab agreed to arrange marriage of his daughter, the Brahmin convey the consent of Sadhab to the king. The king started to karnatak with his son and barat on a auspicious moment. The marriage was conducted with all pump and ceremony. After completion of marriage rituals the king with his son and daughter in law returned to his palace. The sadhab had given very precious things with court loads as dowry. when return procession of the king approaching the palace the Sun god about to set. The bride thought if the Sun set and dark prevails no body will able to see the good quantity of dowry. So she humbly prayed the Sun God to wait some time more, so as to enable them to arrive at the palace. the God Pleased on the humble submission of bride and proceeded slowly to set.
The mother of Sun God became pensive on late arrival of his son. She cursed on the person responsible for late return of her son. The Sun God appraised his mother that nobody responsible for his late return, rather he witnessed the bride & bejeweled with ornaments for which he arrived late. the Sun God requested his mother to disclose the remedy of the curse. Mother of the Sun God told that if daughter of sadhab will worship the Sun God on Sunday in the month of Pausha ( December – January ). She will recover from the curse. In the mean time the daughter of Sadhab suffered with leprosy on her body. all the family members were become very pensive. After consultation with Brahimns the king arranged worship Of Sun God. The Bride with all holiness and humble submission observed the rituals of Bratta of Sun God and recovered from leprosy completely. She also blessed with son and abundance wealth subsequently. It is said that who ever worship the sun God with all holiness will achieve his aim.
Fist obeisance to Sun God namely Niranjan and narration commencing on Pusha ( December – January ) Rabibar ( Sunday of the Odiya Month Pusha ).
