Artist: Sudarshan Pattnaik

International sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture to congratulate the Indian Olympic medal winners by creating a 10ft wide sand sculpture of Six Olympic medals with message “India’s Pride” and the National flag at the top with a message “Mera Bharat Mahan” at Puri beach of Odisha. Pattnaik also created a sculpture of kusti because in kusti India’s Sushil Kumar created the history.

Pattnaik used 10 tones of sand to create this sculpture and students of his sand art school joins hand with him. Before also Sudarsan created many sand sculptures on Olympics to wish the Indian sport persons. I would like to salute these heroes in this 65th Independents day, they made the country proud. As an artist I congratulate them through my sand art. Said Sudarsan.
