Today (15th June 2015) the secret ritual of “Brahma Paribartan” (changing the soul) of Lord Jagannath and other idols will take place. Brahma Paribartan is one of the most important rituals during Nabakalebara in Puri Jagannath Temple. During the Brahma Paribartan, the old Pati Mohapatra priest of the temple shifts the Brahma from old idol to the new ones.

Renowned sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo has lunch a sand animation short film of the Brahma Paribartan of Lord Jagannath during the Nabakalebara at Puri, Odisha. For preparing this video the artist has made a continuous effort for 24 hours and the video is of duration of 5 minutes 25 seconds. In this video he shows the Maharana sevaks have meanwhile prepared the new idols from the Brahma Darus then the Daitapati changing the Brahmam of Lord Jagannath and other idols.
