Internationally renowned young Sand Artist and Animator Sri Manas kumar Sahoo highly experienced and skilled in the field has been working on both sand sculpture and animation for several years. He is also the 1st Indian sand animator. His performance in India’s Got Talent’ Khoz-II in Colors channel bears the testimony of the gift, artistic imagination and creative skills he has. Now, he has successfully completed a new project, which he claims to be the first ever attempt made in the history of sand art of the world to produce the art of its kind.
This new project is a ‘Sand Art Park’ on Giral beach which is about 12k.m from Puri and 70 km from Bhubaneswar in Odisha, a state of the eastern part of India. Although this sand art, like any other form of sand art, has a short span of life, it casts an everlasting impression in the hearts viewers. The sand art park is perched on 30 acres of land 15 to 20 feet above the sea level and the artist has made the sculptures all by himself without any assistance. Each sculpture is about 10 feet and artwork doubtlessly is of international standard. Determined to do something new and challenging, he has worked really hard on this project and in spite of all hindrances he has been able to turn his new ideas into reality. The new designs, the artist hopes will relish the art lovers’ thirst to find newness in the art and those who have seen his performance in IGT khoz II will return home feeling convinced that the artist has a lot more to offer.
