Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation is celebrating “World Tourism Day” on September 27. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide. The development of science and technology & speedy transport has brought the people of different nations to come closer to each other. This has resulted in people moving from state to state as tourist to come closer and know each other’s habit, taste and culture.

The artist Mr Manas Kumar Sahoo has prepared Statue of liberty, Tower of Pisa, Eiffel tower, Big Ben, Taj Mahal, Lotus temple etc. about 10 ft height, and by using tones of sand. In this single sculpture Mr. Sahoo has shown different reputed monuments & towers of different countries to indicate closure of each other by development of tourism.
