Devi’s shrine is situated at Chudanga Sahi, near Narendra Kona. She’s considered to be the deity of Shabara Tantra. According to folks, from this spot Nitei Dhobani, the guru of Chodagangadeba used perform worship Shri Jagannath facing south in one direction. Bisweswari was the tutelary deity of Nitei Dhobani.
The deity is of furious form wielding Khadga in her upper right hand, bow giving gesture in her lower right hand, dagger and conch (possibly) in her upper and lower left hand respectively.
Devi gets her annual worship during Sharadiya Puja. Special rituals are held on Chaitra Nabami and Durga Astami. Maharda and Mala of Mahaprabhu are presented from Shrimandira.
