Although in the worship of Lord Jagannath, many incarnation are included, the worship of Lord Nurusingh in Lord Jagannath is significant. Nrusingh Deva is worshipped first in Shrikhetra, mantra of Nrusingha is regarded as foremost. in aspect of hindu mythology Lord Jagannath is Nrusingh.
‘ Narasingh Bapu Shriman Kesabah Purushottam ‘ scripted in Vishnu Sahasranama. In the Jagannath tradition, Lord Nrusingh is believed to be the protector of the Jagannath temple, and his worship is performed before any other deity in the temple. The chanting of the Nrusingh mantra is also considered to be very powerful and is believed to provide protection and remove obstacles. Protector of Shrimandir is Lord Nrusingh. Daru Bigrha is protected by Lord Nrusigha. compared with other side God Goddess in Shrimandir bedha, Lord Nrusingh is worshiped in many places at Jagannath Temple.
The right side of Singhdwar Gumuta, there is Nrusingh. Nrusigh is at Avaya Nrusingh temple at Baisi Pahacha. Nrsingh in the Nrsingh Temple, Kalki Avatar and Nrsingh in the Puran Nrsingh Temple. Narasimha and Srilakshmi are adorned in the Narasimha Nath temple, Lakshmi and Narasimha are adorned in the Narasimha temple. In the inner Jagmohan, Khamba Nrsingh, Nrsingh near Bhogmandap, Lakshmi Nrsingh on the walls of the Lakshmi temple, Badi Nrsingh and Dakshin Ghar (Bijpratima Ghar) are worshiped.
Similarly, there are temple shrines in different parts of Shrikshetra. Chakra Narasimha is located on the east side of the Nilachala, Adi Narasimha is on the north side and Ugra Nisha Narasimha is on the west side. There is a Yajna Narasimha temple near the north-eastern fence of the Srigundicha temple.
