A preparatory meeting was organized in connection with staging of world level Kanchi Abhijan theater, Puri to be staged on January, 2012.
The first preparatory meeting was organized on 1.10.2011 at Radharaman Kutir, Puri for staging of a theater basing on Kanchi Abhijan (expedition) by Sri Jagannath. Following members and dignitaries were present in the meeting took part in the discussion, Sri Bichitrananda Malia, Producer of the theater, 2. Sri Upendra Nayak, Sri Sapan Mishra, Sri Basudev Nath, Sri Prassan Upadyaya, Sri Pradeep Garabadu, Sri Gagan Malia, Sri Gopabandhu Pratihari, all from theater production committee, SriLokanath Rath, Social worker, Sri Mahant Maharaj Krushna charan Das Goswami, President, Math Mandir Surakshya Samity, State Council,Orissa, Sri Sidheswar Mahapatra, Purohit, Sri Ramachadra Mohapatra, Senior Sevak, Sri Jagannath Temple, Sri Narayan Pratihari, Palia Sevak, Sri Anupudya Senapati, Law adviser.
The Theater will be staged with effect from 1st January, 20012 for a period of 15 days. The theater will be displayed during day and night along with 5000 actors, in 25 pendals, 2 war fields and 3 grand procession. This world class theater is organized by leading Theater organization namely Binapani Natya Sanstha , Bhubaneswar.
Now a days all are busy in present life style as a result of which all are forgetting our Puran (epics) history & culture by and by. This type of endeavor of displaying action of Sri Jagannath by way of stage show will create awareness of culture among the people.
