Sri Manas kumar Sahoo the renowned international artist in sand sculpture and sand animation has prepared a sand sculpture of “Boita bandana” at the golden sea beach of Puri. The boita bandana art constructed by him 15ft length 7ft height and weighing about 20tones of sand. This sand sculpture was appraised by the sand art lover and tourist and the people of the Puri as well. All were in praised of this beauty of the artistic sand art. This sand art was prepared in the memory of the journey of “odia sadaba pua” to different places like Java & Sumatra by boats which was renowned then for trade and commerce. it may also be recall that a sand art concerning about global warming has also been constructed in the Puri beach near light house
