Rupakar Sebayata are doing all the artwork of Jagannath Temple inside or outside premises. These artwork includes construction of deities figure like Sharathi, Sakhi, Parswa Devata ( Side Gods of Chariots ), Horses and many more. They are also created the statue Deities for different besha of Lord Jagannath. Rupakar Sebayata are included for the construction & artwork at the time of Nabakalebara periods.
Rupakar family person are included in these seva, when they get the perfect training from the family elder person. Sarathi is the family God of Rupakara Sebayata. Many years before they were got “kora bhoga” regularly as payments ( pauna ). But these traditions were close down from 50 – 60 years before.
